Care guide

As with all clothing items the brightness of the colour can become less bold over time. So follow these simple instructions, Love them and they will last you longer. Remember, after all, these are works of Art.

  • Firstly turn the garments inside out.
  • Wash them in cold water with a mild detergent (hand wash or gentle cycle on your washing machine at 30-40°C or 86-104°F)
  • Very, very important: DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER! It will eventually ‘eat’ the paints away.
  • After washing lay them flat to dry or hang them up to drip dry. Do not put the painted side towards direct sunlight.
  • Nevertheless that linen does not need ironing, because it is fashiobable to wear it even erinkled, if it gets too “crushed”, then turn the item inside out before ironing. Please do not use steam on the painted part. Put a cloth or a sheet of baking paper in-between.
  • Do not use bleach!
  • Do not Dry Clean!

Shrinking

If you follow the instructions (temperature for washing), there should not be any shrinking whatsoever. The fabric that we buy comes prewashed. After the tailoring is done, we wash them before painting and we wash them after the process is done.
